The investment led by Banco do Brasil was made through the BB Impacto ASG I Fund, managed by Vox Capital. This significant financial boost is earmarked for technological advancements, the expansion of operations within Brazil, and the introduction of a groundbreaking credit trading platform connecting the supply chain and capital markets.

Employing Artificial Intelligence (AI), Traive has developed a system capable of evaluating over 2,500 data points to produce a risk profile analysis that aligns more closely with the agricultural business sector. This methodology has undergone scrutiny by a technical panel from the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and stands in comparison with current global financial system practices.

Fabricio Pezente, CEO of Traive, shared that the investment will not only serve technological improvements and operational expansion but also support the company’s ambition to venture into new markets with the aim of risk diversification. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in the United States, Traive operates in Brazil and looks forward to extending its reach internationally.

Rodrigo Vasconcelos, Banco do Brasil’s Director of Digital Business, highlighted the potential of Traive’s automation and credit risk intelligence solutions to expedite the financial institution’s digital transformation. The bank anticipates enhancements to its products and services supporting the agricultural sector, aiming to complement and expand credit solutions, increase financing availability, and promote environmental practices.

Vasconcelos emphasized the investment’s goal to generate efficiency and positive impacts on the agricultural credit granting process and the productive activities of the bank’s clients in the sector. The BB Impacto ASG Fund, managed by Vox Capital, focuses on startups that yield positive societal and environmental impacts, primarily targeting Seed and Series A stages.
