FinTech Weekly Puts the Spotlight on Women in Fintech for International Women’s Day
At FinTech Weekly, we are passionate about technology, but we are driven by people. Diversity and inclusivity are not just principles we support—they are fundamental to how we engage with financial technology.
Women are shaping fintech every day, leading innovation, building businesses, and driving progress. On International Women’s Day, we go beyond recognition to actively amplify their voices, sharing their experiences and perspectives on the industry’s future.
This year, we are launching a special initiative: a series of interviews with six accomplished women who have made significant strides in fintech. Their insights shed light on their professional journeys, the hurdles they have overcome, and their thoughts on the industry’s progress toward greater inclusivity.

Giving Women in Fintech a Platform to Share Their Stories
Women have long been an essential part of fintech, yet they continue to face challenges in an industry that has historically been male-dominated. Representation in leadership is improving, but progress is uneven. Through these interviews, we aim to bring forward firsthand accounts of their careers, the obstacles they have faced, and their perspectives on the future of the industry.
Each of these professionals brings a unique experience and expertise. Their stories highlight the opportunities and challenges that come with working in fintech, the changes they have witnessed, and what they believe is needed to create a more inclusive industry. By sharing their voices, we hope to inspire meaningful conversations about gender equality and the role of women in shaping financial technology.
The Roadblocks and Progress in Fintech
Despite progress, women in fintech continue to face structural and cultural barriers. Leadership positions in finance and technology remain predominantly held by men, and access to funding for female entrepreneurs is still a challenge. Many women have had to work harder to gain the same recognition as their male counterparts.
These interviews serve as a call for continued progress.
